Your decision to get a breast augmentation procedure should be taken very seriously. This is surgery that changes your breasts and your body for the rest of your life. Before making such a life-altering choice you need to be sure and do your homework. Most important in your decision-making process is to find a surgeon that is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
You also need to ask questions. Find out how many breast augmentations a surgeon does each year as well as what his/her re-operation rates are. Any surgeon should be forthcoming with this information if they have nothing to hide. If you do not get answers to these questions, ask yourself why – and consider choosing a different surgeon.
Lastly, ask to see several sets of the surgeon's breast augmentation before and after photos. Nothing speaks to a patient like seeing the results yourself. This is your decision to make, and it shouldn’t be made lightly. Again, this is your body, and you are considering a major change. You are entitled to get more from your consultation than a simple discussion, so choose wisely.
